A five year-old boy from Gorakhpur presented to the emergency department in July 2021with complaints of acute onset of fever, mental confusion, disorientation and episodes of seizures. On examination, there was facial muscle weakness and left side hemiparesis. On CT diffuse inflammation of brain parenchyma was seen.
